Titian – Bacchus and Ariadne Skateboard Deck Triptych Wall Art - Premium Canadian Maple Deck
Titian painted Bacchus and Ariadne in 1520–1523 for Alfonso I d'Este, Duke of Ferrara, as part of a series of mythological paintings for his private studiolo. The scene shows Bacchus leaping from his chariot the moment he sees Ariadne abandoned on Naxos — he is falling in love mid-jump. Titian put the constellation Ariadne's Crown in the sky, already placed there by Bacchus in anticipation. The painting is at the National Gallery in London.
