Zaboy 1931 -- a vintage logo design referencing the Soviet-era industrial and sporting culture of Eastern Europe. The aesthetic of Soviet-era graphic design from the 1920s-30s is characterised by bold geometric forms, constructivist typography, and a visual confidence that came from treating design as a political act. This deck uses that vocabulary as a contemporary reference point -- the vintage logo as an object of nostalgia, irony, and historical memory. Printed in gallery-quality UV ink on Grade-A Canadian maple.
