Botticelli Birth of Venus – Renaissance Goddess Icon Skateboard Wall Art
Sandro Botticelli painted the Birth of Venus around 1484–1486 for the Medici family's villa — one of the first large-scale non-religious nudes in post-classical Western art. The model was reportedly Simonetta Vespucci. The painting remained largely unknown outside Florence for centuries before becoming one of the most recognisable images in Western art. It hangs today at the Uffizi Gallery in Florence.
