Baroque Cherubs – Classical Angel Art Skateboard Wall Art
Baroque cherubs (putti) became one of the defining decorative motifs of 17th-century European painting, sculpture, and architecture. Derived from Classical Roman art, they were reintroduced by Renaissance painters and reached their peak in the Baroque period — appearing on church ceilings, fountain sculptures, palace walls, and altarpieces across Italy, Flanders, and France. Rubens, Raphael, and Tiepolo made them ubiquitous: plump, winged infants hovering in clouds, carrying flowers, or watching sacred scenes from the margins.
